!RESTART

Specifies input and output of restart data.

Parameters

FREQUENCY = n        :Output step interval (default: 0)
            n > 0    :Output every n steps
            n < 0    :First read the restart data file, then output every |n| steps

Notes

  • In static analysis and time-history dynamic analysis, restart position is restored by distinguishing output during a substep from output at the end of a step.
  • In dynamic analysis, the restart data stores dynamic state including the current step, substep, cumulative substep, current time, time increment, velocity, and acceleration.
  • When restarting an analysis that uses multiple !STEP entries, remove completed !STEP entries from the cnt file used for restart, and describe the analysis starting from the incomplete or unexecuted !STEP.
