!VISUAL¶

Specifies the visualization method and the output conditions for visualization data. Enable visualization output with !WRITE,VISUAL, then use this card to specify the format, surfaces, and other settings.

Parameters¶

METHOD = PSR             : Surface rendering
  visual_start_step      : Specifies the time-step number at which visualization processing starts  (default: 1)
  visual_end_step        : Specifies the time-step number at which visualization processing ends (default: all)
  visual_interval_step   : Specifies the time-step interval for visualization processing    (default: 1)

Surface Specification (Required)¶

With METHOD=PSR, the number of surfaces to visualize, surface_num, and the definition of each surface, !surface N, must be specified. In the minimal configuration, it is sufficient to specify one surface representing the entire exterior surface.

Select the output format with !output_type. Specifying VTK writes data in VTK format, which can be read by ParaView and similar software.

Minimal Dataset¶

The following is a minimal example that outputs the entire exterior surface in VTK format. Use it together with !WRITE,VISUAL.

The surface_num and !surface specifications cannot be omitted.
