!MESH

Specifies the mesh data file.

!MESH, NAME=<name>, TYPE=<type> [,optional parameter]
fileheader

#Example
!MESH, NAME=fstrMSH, TYPE=HECMW-DIST, REFINE=1
Mesh.in
Parameter
NAME Identifier (required)
TYPE Mesh type (required)
IO Input/output specification (optional)
REFINE Mesh refinement specification (optional)
Parameter Name Parameter Value Description
NAME fstrMSH Solver input data
part_in Partitioner input data
part_out Partitioner output data
TYPE HECMW-DIST HEC-MW distributed mesh data
HECMW-ENTIRE HEC-MW single-domain mesh data
INP inp-format mesh data (.inp)
NASTRAN Nastran-format mesh data
IO IN For input (default)
OUT For output
REFINE <integer> Number of mesh refinements
Variable Name Description
fileheader Mesh data file-name header. Both relative and absolute paths can be specified. A relative path is interpreted from the current directory.

Notes

The presence or value of the IO parameter has no effect on operation.

When TYPE is HECMW-DIST, the fileheader specified on the data line is the file name with the trailing ".<rank>" removed.

When TYPE is INP, an inp-format input file (.inp) is read directly. Supported keywords include *NODE, *ELEMENT, *NSET, *ELSET, *MATERIAL, *ELASTIC, *DENSITY, *SOLID SECTION, etc. When the analysis control data (.cnt) defines !MATERIAL, the material definition in the mesh is overridden.

When TYPE is NASTRAN, a Nastran-format bulk data file is read directly.
